A season is everything between opening sign-ups and the last match. It runs in the same order every time: staff get access, players form teams, staff verify them, the schedule fills up, and matches are scored and broadcast. Each section links to the page with the details.
  • Stream: one broadcast night and its matches.
  • Scorecard: one match while it’s being scored in Live, from Create Scorecard to Finish Scorecard.
  • Verified team: a team staff have accepted. Only verified teams can be put in a match.

Staff access

Staff sign in to the staff console with Discord. Someone with access to assign roles adds each staff member on the Access page with one or more roles. Those roles decide what each person can see and change. See How access works.

Sign-ups and teams

Players can create teams only while sign-ups are open. Staff open sign-ups on Settings, where they can also set a sign-up deadline and a team size limit. See Open and close sign-ups. Players sign in to the Player Hub with Discord. One player creates the team and becomes its captain; the others join with the team’s invite code. Players can still join an existing team after sign-ups close. See Join or create a team. A new team is Building. When the captain submits the roster, it becomes Pending, which players see as Pending Review.

Verifying teams

Staff review pending teams on Teams and either verify them or send them back to Building. A verified team appears on the Player Hub’s Teams page and can be put in a match. Its captain can no longer change its name, colour or logo. See Review and verify teams.

The schedule

Staff build the season on Schedule from matches, streams and events. An event is anything that isn’t a match or a stream, such as a finals date. A match is two verified teams playing a Best of 1 to Best of 7, and can be placed in a stream. Every upcoming item appears on the Player Hub’s Schedule page. A match’s round, such as Round 1, sets its column on the Bracket tab. See Plan the schedule.

The rules

Staff write, preview and duplicate rule sets on Rules, and choose the one players read on the Player Hub with Use on Player Hub. See Write and publish the rules.

Streams

Set up OBS once on each broadcast PC from a scene collection downloaded on OBS Setup. See Set up OBS. On the night, the operator chooses the stream in Live, starts a scorecard for each match in turn, and scores it as it’s played. The scenes follow the scorecard, so the stream shows the live score. Scene details, such as the Starting Soon countdown, Caster Chat’s casters and the Game Intro lineup, are set on Browser Sources or from Controls in Live. See Score a match in Live.

Results

When a match ends, the operator selects Finish Scorecard and chooses the winner. The winner is saved on the match in the schedule, shows on the Result scene, and appears in the Dashboard’s Recent results. Staff can correct a wrong result on Schedule. See Correct a result.

The end of a season

The Danger zone on Settings clears the season for the next one. Disband teams removes every team and its roster but keeps player accounts and bans. Lift active bans ends every active ban but keeps its history. Neither can be undone. See Reset teams and bans for a new season.
