# Plan the schedule

> Add the season's matches, streams and events, put matches in a stream, and correct a result.

Build the season on **Schedule**. Players see every upcoming item on the Player Hub's Schedule page, and Live can score only matches on the schedule.

| Item | Description | What it needs |
| :- | :- | :- |
| Match | Two teams playing a Best of N series. Its round, such as Round 1 or Semi-final, groups matches on the Player Hub's **Bracket** tab. | Nothing. Teams can be TBD and the time unset. |
| Stream | One broadcast night and its matches. Live works in one stream at a time. | A title and a date and time. |
| Event | Anything else worth a date, such as a finals date. | A title and a date and time. |

The **Upcoming** tab lists what's to come, soonest first, with items that have no time at the top. **Earlier** lists past items, most recent first. A stream shows as one block: its card, then its matches.

## Before you start

* You need access to change the schedule. See [How access works](/get-started/access).
* Verify the teams you want to schedule. You can choose only verified teams for a match. See [Review and verify teams](/season/verify-teams).

## Add a stream

Add a stream before its matches, so you can put them in it.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Schedule">
    In the sidebar, select **Season** → **Schedule**, then **Add to schedule**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Stream">
    Under **Type**, select **Stream**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name it and set the time">
    Enter a **Title**, such as Week 3 Night 1. Select **Date and time**, choose a date, set the **Time**, and select **Done**. Times are in your time zone, which the panel names.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Add stream**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Add a match

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the panel">
    On **Schedule**, select **Add to schedule**. **Match** is already selected under **Type**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the teams">
    Choose **Team A** and **Team B** from the verified teams, or leave either as **TBD**. With no verified teams, the panel says "No teams are verified yet."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the round and format">
    Enter the **Round**, such as Round 1, and choose **Best of**, from 1 to 7. The default is Best of 3.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Put it in a stream, if it's broadcast">
    Choose the stream from **Stream**. A match without its own time plays at the stream's time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the time, if you know it">
    Select **Date and time** and choose the start. If you leave it **Not set**, the match shows "Time to be confirmed".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Add match**. "Added the match to the schedule." confirms it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

To score a match in Live, it needs both teams and a stream.

## Add an event

On **Schedule**, select **Add to schedule**, choose **Event** under **Type**, enter a **Title** and a **Date and time**, and select **Add event**.

## Edit or delete an item

Select a card on **Schedule** to open it, change what you need, and select **Save changes**. To delete it, select **Delete match**, **Delete stream** or **Delete event**, then **Delete**. Deleting can't be undone.

You can't change or delete some items:

* **A match being scored in Live**: it shows **Live**, and its fields stay locked until Live finishes it, with the message "This match is being played in Live. Finish it there first."
* **A match with a result**: you can't delete it until you clear its result.
* **A stream that has had a match scored in Live**: you can't delete it.

Deleting a stream leaves its matches on the schedule, outside any stream.

## Correct a result

Live saves the result when the operator finishes the scorecard. If the operator chose the wrong team, open the match on **Schedule**, choose the winner in **Result**, or **No result** to clear it, and select **Save changes**. A match with a result shows **Final**.
