# The staff console

> Sign in to the staff console, find pages in the sidebar, read the Dashboard and use the account menu.

The staff console is the part of the Tournament System that staff sign in to. Every page has the sidebar on the left, a breadcrumb along the top naming the sidebar group and page, and the page below it.

## Signing in

On the staff sign-in page, select **Continue with Discord**, and confirm in Discord if it asks. You land on the Dashboard.

You need access given to your Discord account on the **Access** page first. Without it, you're still signed in, but you see a **No access** page that suggests asking for a role. See [The No access page](/get-started/access#the-no-access-page).

## The sidebar

| Group | Pages |
| :- | :- |
| At the top | **Dashboard** |
| **Season** | **Schedule**, **Rules**, **Settings** |
| **Broadcast** | **Live**, **Browser Sources**, **OBS Setup** |
| **People** | **Players**, **Teams** |
| **System** | **Access**, **Docs**, **What's new** |

The sidebar shows only the pages your roles let you open, so yours may have fewer.

Two items in **System** aren't staff console pages:

* **Docs** opens this help site in a new tab.
* **What's new** plays a short video about the newest release.

To collapse the sidebar to icons, select the Tournament System name at the top of it. Select it again to expand it.

## The Dashboard

The Dashboard opens after you sign in. It shows the season at a glance, and most parts link to the page where you act on them. What you see depends on your access.

* **The top row** has four counts. Select a count to open its page.
  * **Sign-ups**: open or closed, and the deadline.
  * **Verified teams**: also how many are pending and building.
  * **Users signed in**: also how many first signed in during the last seven days.
  * **Active bans**.
* **Current scorecard** shows the open scorecard's match, its set score, and who has Live open. When no scorecard is open, the panel shows **Next match** from the schedule.
* **Needs attention** lists teams ready for review, sign-ups that close within a week, and bans that lift within a day. When there's nothing to do, it reads "All good to go!".
* **Recent activity** lists what players and staff did most recently, such as joining a team or adding a staff note.
* **Recent results** lists the last finished scorecards and their set scores.

## The account menu

Select your name and picture at the bottom of the sidebar to open the account menu:

* **Caster profile** sets the name, @username and picture shown on the Caster Chat scene. It appears only when your access includes a caster profile. If you can also manage other casters' pictures, it's called **Caster profiles**.
* **Switch to light theme** or **Switch to dark theme** changes how the staff console looks.
* **Sign out** signs you out and takes you to the Player Hub.
