# Broadcast scenes

> What each of the eight broadcast scenes shows, where its content comes from, and which audio plays on it.

What each of the eight scenes in the scene collection shows, where its content comes from, and which sound plays on it. To change a scene, see [Control the scenes](/broadcast/control-scenes).

Scenes read the stream chosen in Live. A stream is one broadcast night and its matches. Most scenes show the open scorecard's match, and all update within a few seconds of a change.

## What every scene shares

Every scene except In-Game fills the screen and shares one frame:

* **Top left**: your league's name. Starting Soon leaves it out, because its card already carries the name.
* **Top right**: the date and the time.
* **Bottom right**: the Tournament System mark.
* **Bottom left**: your league's social channels, on Starting Soon, Intermission and End Stream only.

In-Game sits over the game picture, so it has no frame.

MelCat Interactive sets up your league's name, artwork and social channels with your site.

## What each scene shows

Scenes are in the order of the Browser Sources tabs.

| Scene | What it shows | Where its content comes from |
| :- | :- | :- |
| **Starting Soon** | Your league's artwork card and a "Starting soon" countdown. The card burns away in the final minute. At zero, the title "Starting soon" replaces the countdown. Until you start a countdown, the time reads `--:--`. | The countdown you set and start in the scene's controls. See [Control the scenes](/broadcast/control-scenes). |
| **Caster Chat** | One or two casters, each with picture, name and @username. Below them, the open scorecard's match: both teams, their logos and its **Best of**. | **Caster 1** and **Caster 2** in the scene's controls. Each caster's details come from their caster profile. Without a caster name, it shows their preferred name, then their Discord username. Without a picture, it shows their Discord avatar. See [Set up your caster profile](/broadcast/caster-profile). |
| **Game Intro** | The map's picture, realm and name, and the set and game. Below them, the killer team with its killer player and character, and the survivor team with its four players and characters. A map without a picture shows an empty frame. Built for Dead by Daylight. | The lineup saved in the Game Intro controls. Live decides which team is killer and which is survivor. See [Set up the Game Intro](/broadcast/game-intro). |
| **In-Game** | A score bar over the game: each team's name, sets won, **Gens**, **Hooks** and **Fresh**, with figures that don't apply to a team's current side dimmed. Killer shows in red and survivor in blue. In the middle: the set and game, the game clock and the killer player's name. Picked casters' names and pictures show under **Casters**. With no scorecard open, In-Game shows nothing. | The scorecard in Live. The game clock is in the scene's controls, the killer player comes from the Game Intro, and the casters from Caster Chat. See [Score a match in Live](/broadcast/score-a-match). |
| **Intermission** | The open scorecard's match: both teams, their logos, which side each is playing, the set score and **Best of**. Below it, the current set and game and your status message. | The scorecard in Live, and **Status** in the scene's controls. With **Choose teams manually** turned on, it shows the two teams you choose instead. |
| **Result** | The last match finished in Live's stream: both teams, the final set score and **Best of**, with the winner marked **Winner**. While a new scorecard is open, or before Live finishes any match, it shows "Result pending". | The team the operator chose under **Who won?** when finishing the scorecard. If you correct the result on Schedule, Result shows the correction. |
| **Stand By** | The title "Stand by" with your message under it, and a band with the open scorecard's match, its set score, and the set and game. The background holds still. | **Message** in the scene's controls, and the scorecard in Live. |
| **End Stream** | "Thanks for watching", with your league's social channels. | Nothing to set. |

## Audio and game capture

The scene collection adds these sources to each scene. Connect them once on each broadcast PC. See [Set up OBS](/broadcast/set-up-obs).

| Scene | Audio | Game capture |
| :- | :- | :- |
| **Starting Soon** | Spotify Audio | |
| **Caster Chat** | Discord Audio | |
| **Game Intro** | Discord Audio | |
| **In-Game** | Discord Audio | Yes |
| **Intermission** | Spotify Audio | |
| **Result** | Discord Audio | |
| **Stand By** | Discord Audio | |
| **End Stream** | Spotify Audio | |

<Note>
Switch scenes in OBS, not in the Tournament System. Changing a scene's details in the staff console changes what it shows, but doesn't put it on stream.
