# Set up your caster profile

> Set the name, @username and picture shown on the Caster Chat scene when you're picked to cast.

Your caster profile is the name, @username and picture shown on the Caster Chat scene when you're picked to cast. You set it up yourself from the account menu.

A stream is one broadcast night and its matches. On the night, whoever controls the scenes picks **Caster 1** and **Caster 2** from everyone with a caster profile. No one can type a caster in by hand, so set profiles up before the stream.

## Before you start

* You need access that includes a caster profile. Without it, **Caster profile** isn't in your account menu. See [How access works](/get-started/access).
* A guest caster needs that access too, and appears in the **Caster 1** and **Caster 2** lists only after signing in to the staff console once. See [Give someone staff access](/season/give-staff-access).

## Set up your profile

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your caster profile">
    Select your name and picture at the bottom of the sidebar, then select **Caster profile**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a picture (optional)">
    Select **Upload image** and choose a square PNG or JPEG of up to 5 MB. It saves straight away, and "Image saved." confirms it.

    Without your own picture, Caster Chat shows your Discord avatar. To go back to it, select **Remove**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your caster name">
    Enter a **Caster name** of up to 20 characters: letters, numbers and spaces. If you leave it empty, Caster Chat uses your preferred name from your player profile, or your Discord username if you haven't set one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your @username">
    Enter the **@username** shown with your name: up to 32 letters, numbers, underscores or full stops. Leave it empty to show none.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Save**. "Caster profile saved" confirms it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Your profile shows on Caster Chat whenever you're picked, and the same picks supply the caster credit on the In-Game scene. Changes reach OBS within a few seconds.

<Note>
  If someone else changed your profile while you had it open, saving shows "Caster profile changed. Reload before saving." Reload the page and make your change again.
</Note>

## Change another caster's picture

If your access lets you manage other casters' pictures, the account menu item reads **Caster profiles** and opens with a **Caster** list of everyone who has a caster profile.

1. Choose the caster from **Caster**.
2. Select **Upload image** to replace their picture, or **Remove** to go back to their Discord avatar.

Only casters can change their own name and @username.
